Yoga
Yoga has become popular as a system of physical exercise across the Western world. Yoga in Indian traditions, however, is more than physical exercise, it has a meditative and spiritual core. In RISE School, students are taught Hatha yoga which focuses on physical and mental strength building exercises and postures. Yoga can be an excellent training for children and adolescents, both as a form of physical exercise and for breathing, focus, mindfulness, and stress relief. RISE School students participate in State level Yoga championships which are held every year and win many prizes. Yoga is taught by Mr. Venugopal, who has completed DNYS and has 13 years’ experience in teaching Yoga
Karate
Karate can be practiced as an art, self-defense or as a combat sport. Traditional karate places emphasis on self-development. Modern Japanese style training emphasizes the psychological elements incorporated into a proper attitude such as perseverance, fearlessness, virtue, and leadership skills. Sport karate places emphasis on exercise and competition. Karate is being taught by Mr. Ranjith who holds Black belt and has 3 years in experience in teaching Karate
Bharatanatyam
Bharatanatyam is a Indian classical dance form that originated in the temples of Tamil Nadu. Bharatanatyam is known for its grace, elegance, purity, tenderness, expression and sculpturesque poses. At RISE School, Bharatanatyam is being taught by Ms. Sridevi who has completed M.Dance, Diploma in Natya Visharadha and has 9 years’ experience in teaching dance.
Physical education
Sports excites children as nothing else. It keeps them happy and leads them to have a positive outlook towards life. Skills like team work, competition, self-discipline, leadership can be learnt better through sports. Mr. Ramar with B.Sc.,B.P.Ed Qualification and 3 years’ experience is our sports and physical fitness instructor.
