Pratham Education Foundation trained our teachers in CAMaL (Combined Activities for Maximized Learning) methodology in 2015-16 academic year. A team of 3 trainers and 3 Pratham Tamil Nadu staff were part of the training program in which 8 RISE School teachers were trained in Maths and Tamil. The training focused on improving the basic reading, writing and math skills of children.
Pratham Education Foundation also trained our Kindergarten teachers in activity and play way learning methodology. Early childhood education is very crucial in shaping the child’s growth and Pratham provided focused training on training the Kindergarten children in these aspects.
RISE India Trust also partnered with Pratham, Tamil Nadu in Latchathil Oruvan campaign to carry out skill evaluation of students from grade 3-8 in 3 villages nearby RISE School. Teachers of RISE Schools carried out the education survey in Thimmanguthu, Aathupollachi and nathegoundanpudur Panchayat. The survey showed that many children in these villages could not read their grade appropriate Tamil text and were not able to carry out basic Math operations.
