RISE School has been successful in providing Quality education at affordable cost due to the support of Philanthropists and generous donors. Without this support it would have been unsustainable to provide quality education to these rural children. In RISE School, 30-40% of the operational cost and 100% capital cost is solely dependent on donations. Your support will make a world of difference to us.

Sponsor a Child

Tuition fee for a child in KG is Rs 11,250 per year, for Grade 1-5 it is Rs 13,350, and for Grade 6-8
Rs 16,800 for academic year 2018-19. Your financial support can help us in providing good education to these children regardless of their financial position. Almost 100 out of 308 students benefit from one kind of scholarship or the other including RTE, but many others end up defaulting on fee payments through the course of the year.

Sponsor a Teacher

RISE School has a teacher-student ratio of 1:18. We plan to augment our staff strength further. Most of our teachers are from the neighborhood and possess the requisite qualifications. Teacher salaries range from Rs 6000 for a fresher to Rs 8000 based on the number of years of experience. We are always under pressure to hike teacher salaries to be able to keep up with the market. Sponsoring a teacher will help us have adequate teachers to improve the learning outcomes of all children.

Sponsor for an Extra-curricular Activity

At present, students are being trained in Yoga, Karate, Bharatanatyam by specialists. Students who show greater interest in any co-curricular activity get additional training to help them hone their skills. No additional fee is charged for this.

Cost for any activity like Yoga/Karate/Bharatanatyam for 1 year to all children = Rs 72,000

Cost for any activity supported through 6 months = Rs 36,000

RISE India Trust is registered not-for-profit organization which is running RISE School from 2004 in Samiyandipudhur village. RISE India Trust is registered under 80G of the Income Tax Rules and any donations made will be 100% exempt from Income Tax.

About Us

RISE School was set up in a remote village where the requirement for a quality school was very high. A detailed survey was carried out in early 2000 and Samiyandipudhur village in Pollachi taluk, Coimbatore district, Tamil Nadu was identified as an ideal location to start a school for rural children as there was a need for a school which provide equal educational opportunities as their urban peers at affordable cost.
